Italian Restaurant in Miami South Beach

I meant to write about this restaurant as soon as I got back from Miami South Beach for Spring Break but time got the best of me.

I got the chance while in South Beach for Spring Break to go to different restaurants, and one that stood out to me was this Italian restaurant we went to which served, you could say, "authentic" Italian food. It was owned by an Italian manager that we got the chance to meet and talk too after we ate our food. There food was on the pricey end but was so worth it, especially if you are on a spring break trip. I ended up ordering an Italian pasta with muscles and pino grigio wine. When I ordered I wasn't expecting much, in terms of presentation and taste, but hoped for the best. Boy did it live up to my expectations and more. The pasta was rich and you could tell it wasn't just boxed pasta from the grocery store. I know in class we've been discussing "authentic dishes" and I feel going to this restaurant gave the presentation, feel, and the food the authentic Italian culture. The restaurant set up itself was very much like you were entering an Italian pasta place in Sicily or something. The wine was also great.

My friends and I ordered a crepe chocolate dish for desert. Again, lived up to more than my expectation. The added extra glazing of chocolate added the right touch to this dish. It was a great desert. I recommend going to this place if you're ever travelling to South Beach. It's located on 3rd Street and Collins Ave.
As you can see from the pics, it was a really great meal. :-) :

  1. I agree, the dessert was phenomenal. Everything from the waitor to the music was very much "authentic", like we had discussed in class. One of the best italian dishes I have had
